Is an initiative started by NEATLINGS to help fund school pilot programs to offer menstrual supplies in bathrooms.
Pads and Tampons are not an optional or luxury item they are a necessity for a female's personal hygiene.
Making pads and tampons available says something that I think is really important. You are important. You matter. We care. No little girl should have to worry about having the supplies she needs for her personal care while at school or the embarrassment of having to ask. We Care. Period.Please be respectful and take only what you need. Why is it important to be respectful? This is a pilot program which will continue through school year 2019-2020 or until funding runs out. If we are able to prove a need and that this program will be respected by students then this will be implemented for future years. Lakeview is proud to be the first K-!2 school in the state of Minnesota to implement such a program. Why is it important to take only what I need? The purpose of this pilot program is to assess cost and implementation requirements. When students take only what they need then we are able to capture how much product is being used in any given span of time. Each time this bathroom is serviced for cleaning and restocking; data is being collected that will help us determine program needs and cost. Where can I access free menstrual products at Lakeview?
What can I do if dispenser is out of stock? Email [email protected] and let us know. Remember to tell us which bathroom and which product(s) are out of stock.
